PRO: 60,000 points

CON: Mobile app

60,000 bonus points is awesome and so is the Chase rewards interface. The only problem I have with this card is that the app crashes too frequently.

PRO: Nice looking card

CON: Fees, rewards costs, service

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card advertises itself, and has largely been accepted as, a great travel-deal card. The points redemption rate is among the highest, and the fee is nominal. But ... you are getting in bed with JPMorganChase. They are not good in terms of customer service, user experience, or fees. They spam you incessantly with cross-selling offers. Their online capability is weak; 3 address change attempts with 0 successes in 2 years. Most importantly, the travel benefits through their rewards program are over-priced by 150-400% beyond what can be found for flights, hotels, rental cars, experiences, etc through any online booking service (Expedia, etc). Even with excellent (820+) credit, always on-time payments, and high usage, they raise the rates inexorably (15.99%). In short, this is a low-grade prestige card and nothing more.
